Section of Science Drive to Close June 12-13
With high pedestrian traffic, Science Drive will be closed at various times for Durham Public Schools graduation
Duke community members and visitors traveling to West Campus on June 12-13 should allow extra time to arrive and park at destinations due to traffic and congestion related to Durham Public Schools graduations in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
With expected high pedestrian traffic, Science Drive will be closed at various times June 12-13 from Cameron Boulevard (751) to the JB Duke Hotel entrance. Access will remain for emergency vehicles and buses.
Graduations begin at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. each day.
If you need to park in the Public Policy, Whitford Drive. Card Gym or JB Duke Hotel parking lots, you will need to access the lots via Towerview Road from Erwin Road. Currently, Towerview Road is closed between Duke University Road and Wannamaker Drive until August 17.
Parking for Durham Public Schools graduations is available in the Science Drive Garage and Blue Zone parking lots.

- Visitors and community members needing to access the J.B. Duke Hotel can do so by turning onto Towerview Road from Erwin Drive and turning right on Science Drive.
- Drivers needing to access the Bryan Center Parking Garage can turn onto Towerview Road from Erwin Drive and turn left on Science Drive.
