Transit and Parking Adjustments for Thanksgiving 2018

Campus buses will not operate on Nov. 22

Duke will adjust its transit schedule and parking lot availability for the Thanksgiving holiday.

On Thanksgiving day, there will be no campus transit service, including Duke Vans. Weekend and afterhours access parking rules for employee and student motorists will be in effect Nov. 22 through Nov. 25.

Reduced transit service will be in effect Friday, Nov. 23, with no service for H2, H5, H6 and PR1, and limited CCX and LaSalle Loop holiday service schedules.

Transit adjustments are as follows:

Wednesday, Nov. 21

  • H2, H5, H6, PR1 operating regular service schedules
  • CCX Holiday route runs 35-minute service 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • LaSalle Loop (LL) runs 30-minute service 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • No C1, CSW, C2, C3, C4 or SWX service
  • Duke Vans service ends at 11:59 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 22 - Thanksgiving

  • No Duke Transit, Duke Vans service or Duke Downtown Shuttle

Friday, Nov. 23

  • Duke Vans resumes service at 12:01 a.m.
  • No H Routes
  • CCX Holiday route runs 35-minute service 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • LaSalle Loop (LL) runs 30-minute service 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • No C1, CSW, C2, C3, C4 or SWX service
  • No PR1 Service
  • No Duke Downtown Shuttle

Saturday, Nov. 24

  • CCX Holiday route runs regular Saturday service schedule from 8:25 a.m. until 9 p.m.
  • C1 route operates one bus from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. 
  • Duke Vans operates regular service

Sunday, Nov. 25

  • C1 and CCX routes operate normal Sunday service
  • Duke Vans operates regular service

Parking garages and surface lots will operate under afterhours and weekend access rules Thursday through Sunday for employee and student motorists. Visitors will be required to pay the regular hourly rate.

Parking and Transportation Services offices will be closed on Nov. 22 and 23 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
