Flexible Parking Options Available to Duke Employees

Daily and multi-pass passes offered in limited facilities; employees who no longer need their current permit should cancel that permit by July 24

Beginning in August 2020, parking permit fee deductions will resume with no change in rates for academic year 2020-21.

In addition to the annual parking permit option, Duke will offer non-refundable flexible parking options for staff, faculty and students in a limited selection of campus parking lots beginning Aug. 3, 2020:

  • University staff, faculty and students can select from an $8 single-day pass or $21 multi-day pass for access to certain parking facilities. Both flexible parking passes are purchased online, and a printable PDF is immediately available. Residential students with vehicles must purchase an annual permit in their designated parking area.
  • Faculty members have an additional option for a $10 single-day pass or $30 multi-day pass in certain premium parking lots. For these flexible parking passes, 24 hours advanced notice is required through an online request form.
  • Health System staff can buy a flexible parking pass for Parking Garage 3 for a $10 single day pass or $30 for a multi-day pass. Both passes are purchased online, and a printable PDF is immediately available.

If you wish to keep your annual parking permit, no further action is necessary on your part at this time.

Duke community members who no longer need their current parking permit because of a permanent change in work location or schedule, must cancel and deactivate their current permit by calling 919-684-PARK or sending email to tranpark@duke.edu before July 24, 2020.
