Test Your Influenza Virus Knowledge
See if you can separate fact from fiction about flu for a chance at a prize
Spread the word, not germs, during the annual influenza season.
While the vaccine against flu remains a primary way to avoid illness, some myths exist about the vaccine and flu virus.
We talked with Dr. Carol Epling, Duke’s director of Employee Occupational Health & Wellness (EOHW), and Dr. Cameron Wolfe, infectious disease specialist and associate professor of medicine at Duke, about common misconceptions.
Using their insights, we built a quiz so you can test your knowledge of the flu virus and vaccine. Complete the quiz by noon on Oct. 14 to be eligible for a prize. A few top scorers will win a chance to earn a “Proud to be Working@Duke” T-shirt.
And remember: this year, the vaccine against the flu virus is required for Duke University staff and faculty working on-site.
