Kai M. Green, assistant professor of Feminist Studies, UC Santa Barbara, spoke at Duke as part of the Symposium on Race & Transgender Studies as part of the Transgender Studies & Humanities Series. The event was held Feb. 10 and was sponsored by Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies, Bingham Center for Women's History and Culture, Cultural Anthropology, Franklin Humanities Institute (FHI), and Program in Latino/a Studies in the Global South. The panel was moderated by Thomas F. DeFrantz, Professor in the Department of African and African American Studies at Duke.
