Said@Duke: Rapper Murs on Artists as Public Servants
Acclaimed Los Angeles rapper Murs joined longtime collaborator and Durham icon 9th Wonder for a set at Motorco Music Hall on Thursday, Feb. 8. Leading up to his performance, Murs was in residence with Duke Performances, and took part in several Duke class visits and a public conversation at Beyu Caffe in downtown Durham, with Mark Anthony Neal, professor of African & African-American Studies. Murs & 9th Wonder were presented as part of Duke Performances’ Hip-Hop Initiative, made possible, in part, with support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
