Waltz with the Duke Wind Symphony at the Annual Viennese Ball

Viennese Ball dancers

Let’s waltz! Let’s polka! Let’s celebrate some of the most exquisite music and dancing in Western culture at the Duke Wind Symphony’s 44th Annual Viennese Ball.

It runs from 7-11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Freeman Center for Jewish Life, 1415 Faber St.

There will be food, music and Viennese dance, featuring a live waltz orchestra and polka band. Don’t know how to do the waltz? Don’t worry: there will be dance lessons at the beginning of the evening.

Dress is semi-formal to formal.

The Viennese Ball is an annual fundraiser for the Duke University Wind Symphony, directed by Verena Mösenbichler-Bryant.

Tickets are $12, $20 for two and can be purchased at tickets.duke.edu or by calling the Duke Box Office at 919 684-4444.
