Andrea Wulf is the author of the award-winning book "The Invention of Nature: Alexander von Humboldt’s New World." She recently presented this year’s Lynn W. Day Lectureship in Forest and Conservation History, which is sponsored by the Forest History Society, the Nicholas School of the Environment, Duke University’s Department of History and Duke’s Bass Connections.
