A Full Duke Chapel Service, Virtually

Rev. Bruce Puckett preaches in Duke Chapel Sunday before a nearly-empty Duke Chapel, but before a large virtual audience.

The Rev. Bruce Puckett, assistant dean at Duke Chapel, spoke during Sunday's service, the first since the chapel was closed to visitors because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Four staff members were the only other in-person participants, but more than 900 people tuned in live online (with an additional 1,400 views later).

The worship service included prayers, a homily, and a hymn with the organ, although without the Chapel Choir, and the four participants sat at least six feet away from each other.

Duke Chapel continues to offer resources for prayer and worship through its website.
