Some Campus Roads to Close Until Jan. 13
Access to areas of campus will be limited from Dec. 1, 2020 to Jan. 13, 2021
Duke University will reduce access to a series of roads to minimize traffic on campus over winter break from Dec. 1, 2020 to Jan. 13, 2021.
Vehicular access to Towerview Road will be limited to Science Drive. Motorists will not be able to access Towerview Road from Duke University Road or Erwin Road.
Several other roads on West and East campuses will close. Edens Drive will be restricted to all traffic on West Campus. On East Campus, the restrictions include Epworth Drive, East Campus Union, Brodie Gym Drive and Southgate Circle.
John Dailey, chief of Duke University Police, said the closures are to maintain residential security while many students and employees are away from the campus.
